Our Scholarship Awards Program

Our annual scholarship program has formed the cornerstone of the Houston association since its founding. Each spring, outstanding high school graduates from public, charter, private and parochial schools in the greater Houston area receive scholarship awards funded by generous Houston businesses, the philanthropic community, and our members.

More than 30 dedicated alumni read students’ applications to help select one senior from each of nearly all the greater Houston area’s high schools. The applications are evaluated based on academic achievement, talents, community service, and other factors, such as a student’s success over adversity. These scholarship recipients embody the diversity of our region and the acme of academic and personal achievement.

We raise and distribute more money for college scholarships than any other PBK association in the country—more than the next three associations combined. Highlights from last year's program are available here.
